New for 2010
The Quest - 2 day 80km Series
Normally we have 3 x 2 day venues offering this distance. In 2009 it
was Hoddom, Champs, Broughton. This trophy would be awarded to
combination gaining most points in a pre-declared series of 2 day 80km
classes.
Rider points awarded as normal but in addition each combination will
receive points based on the Performance Formula (see below) which will
accrue over the series of 4 and combination with most points will get
the trophy. If more than 1 combination on same score they will share
trophy. For SERC members only.
The Performance Formula points in both cases are purely for working out
winners of the above 2 trophies.
Performance Formula is
Points = (2 x Speed - Minimum Speed) x 100
divided by Final Pulse |

Golden Bose of Islay

Points to be gained from all types of ride by horse and rider
combination and horse must be registered both with SERC and with the

|
Alli Balli Bee Gold
Cup donated by Nancy Murdoch
Horse with the highest
number of golds achieved at 30km rides in any one year. Horse to be

part of the year each (ie if 2 winners they get it for 6 months each, 3
winners get it for 4 months etc) |

Cheryl Wallace Longevity award
This is a one-off award for a horse’s longevity in
endurance riding, to be awarded at the club AGM. The award is for the
horse – any rider will count.
The award will be made to a horse completing 12
seasons’ rides (as defined below) and registered with SERC for each of
the qualifying seasons. An owner of a horse seeking to be considered for
the award should initially apply, with evidence of qualification, to
their branch archivist, who should notify the club secretary if they
consider that the horse meets the award criteria.
A ‘season’s rides’, for the purposes of this award is
defined as having completed at least 6 rides within the period 1st
January to 31st December annually, (of any type, Pleasure, Training,
Competitive or Gated) successfully. The rides
can be with any approved endurance riding organisation. Qualifying
seasons do not have to be consecutive. |
